Help Latina K Presents throw the LATINE PRIDE event of the year in Olympia! Let's raise $5000 this spring!
Latina K Presents is planning a big Pride Azúcar event at the Olympia Ballroom, located in downtown Olympia, We have also submitted our interest to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts to be able to use their black box in 2024 and 2025 (this is pending their internal programming). Both of these venues are accessible to people with mobility challenges, and support a proper changing area/green room for performers.
Now, here is where I need your support: As I wait on results from grant applications and potential sponsors, I have a need to secure some funds to be able to continue preparing for this new, exciting journey for Azúcar. My goal is to raise
$5000 this spring to help cover initial overhead costs at both the Oly Ballroom and, hopefully the WA Center. Please donate what you can, or share this page as often as you can with your networks. Press can be found

Azúcar, a testament to the vibrant richness of our culture and shared experience, welcomes artists of all Latine heritages irrespective of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. It is crucial for me as an Ecuadorian immigrant, an Olympia resident since 2005, and a participant in the local performing arts scene to provide and curate a space where Latine artists can embrace their identities without fear of discrimination. At Azúcar, Latine artists who struggle with their identities can deepen the bond with their heritage in a space free of judgement. I aim to create and nurture a space where my Latine community is not just seen but celebrated.
