Build Mo’ Motion: A Cultural Home for Dance

We’re building something bigger than a dance studio.

Mo’ Motion Dance is a cultural dance organization based in Tacoma, Washington. We exist to empower artists and community through the transformative power of dance.

Through our three divisions: the Mo’ Motion Dance Academy, Youth Ensemble, and professional company, we are creating a space where dancers of all ages can train with intention, grow in confidence, and feel a true sense of belonging.

At Mo’ Motion, dance is more than movement. Our training builds strong technique, discipline, and leadership; skills that carry far beyond the studio. While some dancers may pursue professional careers, every student gains tools that support them in whatever path they choose.

We are also committed to access. In a field where many have been left out, we work to ensure that high-level dance training and performance opportunities are available regardless of financial background. Through scholarships, community classes, and culturally rooted programming, we are building something that better reflects the community we serve.

In a short time, Mo’ Motion has grown into a strong and expanding community. What started as a vision is now something real; and still growing.

This next step is about sustainability.

Your support helps us:

Provide scholarships for dancers and families

 Support teaching artists and staff

 Expand community programs and performances

Build a stable foundation for long-term growth

We’re not just building a dance studio; we’re building a cultural home.

A place where dancers are challenged, supported, and seen.
A place where community is centered and excellence is expected.

If you believe in what we’re building, we invite you to be part of it.

Join us as a founding supporter and help build Mo’ Motion.
